Directed Films

More information on your film...

Similar in style to our Directed Photography, we will work to capture carefully crafted shots that perfectly reflect your school's identity.

These shots are then edited together to form a bespoke Directed Film for your school. Each shot is meticulously planned, and goes through an extensive post-production phase, using the highest quality file formats and cinematic colour software to make your film as stunning as it can be.

Tailor-made cinematic production crafted for your School.

Shot in 8K 60p RAW Video.

The Planning...

As each Directed Film is different, your designer will work with you to assist in planning, given what is needed for the concept.

In general, we can film 9 scenes in a day. This allows us to get the absolute perfect shots needed for the video.

For each scene, we first arrange the area, then light it if required, before then briefing the students about what is required and directing them to capture the perfect shots. This tends to take roughly 45mins for a non-complex shot.

The Filming...

On the day, we will arrive before the first shot to sign in & get introduced.

We then work through the schedule to capture all the content required.

Please work in tea breaks every 2 hours (just ten minutes or so, for coffee & to back up footage) and then 30mins for lunch.

The Post Production (Magic)...

Usually, within four weeks we will send over a "Look & Feel" check video. This is a short 30-second clip, that will allow us to confirm that the soundtrack and style of editing is correct.

From then it is a gradual process until the film is completed, with the final stages including sound design & cinematic colour grading.
